The Duel

I recently borrowed a blu-ray called Halo: Legends from a good friend of mine, Legends is seven anime stories based on the world of the video game series Halo.

Overall it was pretty good, some really nice animation and some good stories to tell, but my personal favourite has to be The Duel, which chronicles the story of an Arbiter named Fal who after refusing to follow his covenants religion, is stripped of his titles and betrayed by the Covenant.

The Duel has a wonderful art style to it in the form of almost water colour that’s moving in front of you, it’s really different and something if I’m honest I’ve never seen before, it makes The Duel standout on the disc and also has some beautiful music and a gripping storyline to boot.

I would say The Duel is a good enough reason to pick up Legends anyway, but the other stories are also very good, some fairing better than others but overall definitely a worth while purchase.
