Extraordinary ordinary

I am a huge José González fan and had been wondering where the sleepy singing, acoustic guitar master had been, apparently a film has been made about him, why didn’t I know!

If you have never heard of José González he is a Swedish folk/acoustic singer and probably one of the best acoustic guitarist I personally have ever seen, you probably have heard his cover of ‘Heartbeats’ by 80’s band The Knife on this rather famous Sony Bravia advert.

I’d been wondering what the hell he was up to as his last musical efforts came out almost 4 years ago when I came across what looks like a brilliant documentary based on him and his struggles with writing, touring and everything else a musical genius gets up to.

The film The Extraordinary Ordinary Life Of José González is currently doing the festival rounds and i’m hoping that it will eventually make its way out on to DVD so I can see it, it looks fantastic.
