The Manual
August 19, 2011
The Manual, a new journal that takes a fresh look at design on the web is a project that started on Kickstarter by Build Conference organiser Andy McMillan.
I backed his idea for a new snazzy book with interviews from popular artists from around the world around 5 months ago, and now the book finally arrived at my door step.
The book is absolutely beautiful; the quality, the print, the type, the illustrations all making this one of the nicest things to ever feature on my illustrious coffee table.
Cheers Andy!
The articles are all extremely inspiring, especially Frank Chimero’s (as always) ‘The Space Between You and Me’, which I found myself reading over and over again and being unable to stop telling my girlfriend to read that chapter too.
This edition is only the first in what I am hoping will be a long running series and I have huge admiration for what Andy has done to get this book out there. I’ll definitely be recommending the book to friends and to anyone with a passion for design.
You can pre-order the book by visiting The Manual’s website.
(I’ve uploaded a few pictures of The Manual to Flickr, check them out.)
